RAYMOND GONZALEZ
Raymond Gonzalez is a guitarist, composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist. A professional guitarist since the age of 16, he has traveled and performed extensively throughout the US. Classical, Celtic, jazz, folk, blues, rock and the avant-garde are all in Raymond's arsenal of musical styles. He began composing for solo guitar, piano, and classical ensembles at a very young age, studied composition and theory at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, later earning a Master's degree in Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music. He regularly receives commissions, primarily for solo guitar pieces and small ensembles. He continues to compose for various instrumental ensembles in most mediums as well as choral works and solo songs.
Raymond has been teaching guitar since the 80's, all levels and most styles. He has taught at the University level for over twenty years and is currently on the music faculty at Salem State University, Salem MA where he teaches classical and fingerstyle guitar, composition, and Music Industry and Songwriting classes. He is the owner/operator of "blue fish sound productions" in northern Massachusetts where he produces and arranges projects for professional musicians across the region as well as teaching Skype lessons for students across the country. He has written and produced over ten albums of original music.
